About Me
I have followed a full-time, 3 year professional training
at the Bristol Alexander Technique Training School (BATTSA) where I
received a rounded training in formal Alexander procedures, chair work,
table work and work with the individual on everyday activities.
The curriculum included anatomy, movement, voice work
and importantly learning how the total pattern of use of the brain and
body affects the use and functioning of the individual. This is the
particular area of human understanding which is the Alexander Teacher's
speciality and through observation of a activity will be able to guide
and teach the pupil how to make beneficial changes.
Prior to training as an Alexander Teacher I have worked
in private industry, Higher Education and the Public Sector. I am married
with 3 sons who are all now young adults.
